Written Reflection Information

What is a : Written Reflection?
One of the unique opportunities students will have is reflect on their own contribution to the ensemble and the program as a whole.  This idea springs directly from our curriculum where one of the “Essential Learning Outcomes” is Valuing the Musical Experience: Listen, Reflect and Respond. Ideally, this is a chance for students to accurately reflect on their progress in the course and to question their own success.  In addition, students will also have an opportunity to literally see what constitutes the various grade levels in this course.   Through this reflection, we strongly believe that students will have the opportunity to identify areas of success and areas that may possibly need work on their own terms in a non-threatening way; thus, bettering their own understanding of their progress and performance.
